A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Family of 400,000 Members

Remember Michael Jordan’s game winning shot in the 1998 NBA Finals? Remember when 17-year-old Serena Williams won her first Grand Slam in 1999? Remember when the Red Sox broke their 86-year streak to win the World Series? Remember when Usain Bolt achieved the impossible with his lightning-fast 100m record breaking win in the 2008 Olympics?

It is in these unique moments where people unite in their shared experiences. They cheer together, cry together, worry together, hold their breath together, and experience joy together. It is this sense of community and belongingness that makes them feel like they are a part of an idea that’s larger than themselves.

As Adobe Captivate’s newest fan, I’ve been handed the unique privilege of moderating a community that is overwhelmingly passionate about e-learning and creating engaging, interactive content. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that our community has reached an incredible milestone of 400,000 members (that’s just short of half the population of Delaware!)

As we celebrate this milestone, I want to take a moment, on my team’s behalf, to reflect on some of the incredible things we’ve accomplished together. The community has collectively contributed to over

6,400 discussions
4,761 eLearning projects
5,427 blogs
1,063 videos
358 Tutorials

And engaged users with…

Along with acknowledging the contributions of our 400,000 strong family, I want to recognize two exceptional members who have gone above and beyond to help our users. From answering questions to sharing their projects and videos, they have done a stellar job of handholding learning content creators from across the globe: Paul Wilson  and Lieve Weymeis .

Paul’s thriving YouTube channel has been an invaluable resource, demystifying complex concepts and empowering users to create stunning e-learning content. Paul, your dedication to sharing knowledge is truly inspiring.

Lieve has become a pillar of support, offering guidance and troubleshooting tips to every user who posts a problem. Lieve, your patience, and willingness to go the extra mile are truly admirable.

On behalf of the entire community, I thank you for all that you do.

As we reflect on our time together for the last 8 years on this community, it’s clear that the impact of our collective work extends far beyond these virtual walls. The courses that you have developed and the discussions that you have engaged in have helped and inspired learners and creators across different generations, demographics, geographies, and domains to grow and succeed.

I am excited to work alongside such talented individuals and am committed to helping us build an even more vibrant, engaging and a resourceful community.

Onwards to half a million members!
