New Captivate Accessibility Question: Navigating Click Simulation with Only Keyboard Controls?

For the all-new Adobe Captivate 12 (2023), I am having trouble getting the click box in the simulation training mode to respond to pressing the ENTER or SPACE key. I can TAB to it but it is not responding to any other functions on the keyboard to register a selection.

Is there a trigger that I need to input or another key that I need to press in order for the click simulation to register my selections and advance via keyboard? Right now as a workaround I’ve used hotspots and have a screenshot, however the hotspots can only be so big. Keep in mind about my course:

The course must allow for keyboard input.

Allow all functionality via a keyboard.
Providing the option for complete keyboard control in the e-Learning course giving learners who cannot use a mouse the opportunity to use assistive technologies that mimic the keyboard, such as speech input.
